Ruach - Breath of God


The breath of God in a believer is what differentiate them as the sons of God and those who are not.

When God created Adam (Gen 2:7) ..He breathed into his nostril the breath of life; and man became a living being. I am now fully convinced this breath of life is the Holy Spirit. By this breath of God, Adam was made in the image of God.

This is what set him apart from other creatures including the angels.

At this point of time, Adam and Eve were both able to converse and see God and the entrance into the Garden of Eden is like a portal into the that dimension beyond/more real than physical realm where God dwells with man. Adam and Eve at this point of time has eternal life. Only by the Spirit of God is he eternal.

By Genesis 6 man has completely lost the image in which he was created and took on the image of the fallen angels. Man has become the son of the fallen angels and are breathing the spirit of rebellion. No longer is man redeemable and had to be destroyed.

After the flood, the Spirit of God infrequently indwells man in general.

Only after Jesus received the Holy Spirit (Mat 3:16), he fully became the second Adam. The second Adam begin to operate beyond the physical realm. Sign and wonder, healing and deliverance is the second nature of Adam.

From then on, God begins to call those who would receive the Holy Spirit, (John 20:22) the sons of God. Only after man has receive the spirit of God can they fulfill his God given destiny. We are called again to be like Christ, Like the original Adam, made in the image of God and exhibiting the life of God here on Earth again.

John 20:22 Jesus breathed on them and said RECEIVE the Holy Spirit. We are now again call to be eternal by the Ruach of God.
